Tallon Smith was born in 2004, grew up in Griffith, NSW and watched his first games of rugby league in 2008 at age 4.
At age 8 he moved to Albury NSW where he has have lived ever since.
Tallon grew up supporting his Dads team Cronulla until he was aged 7 but he became fascinated with the story of South Sydney after watching a game with his extended family so his mum bought him the book “South Side Story”.
Tallon made the decision to support Souths, broke the news to his dad & and has supported the club since then.
His mum followed suit & also started following Souths the same year.
Tallon featured on The Footy Show in 2017 for his statistical knowledge. Darryl Brahman interviewed Tallon at his home & the young Rabbitohs fan showcased his amazing memory for game scores & details.
A surprise guest that day was Mario Fenech & he put a huge smile on Tallons face. Not long after this Tallon attended a game against the Titans where he sat and watched with Mario.
The following year he attended a Rabbitohs vs Sharks match & was the guest speaker in the Churchill Club. This appearance was organised by club historian Brad Ryder.
Brad Ryder says – “I took Tallon and his Dad to the Churchill Club (at Stadium Australia) 3 years ago. The kid’s knowledge is freakish.”
“Tallon also helped me run the trivia before a Souths v Canberra game at King O’Malleys pub in Canberra. The Lissing brothers were also there.”
Tallon currently attends high school in year 11 in Albury and plays for the Albury Thunder Under 18s.
