The horse in the red & green silks, Star of Harada will be ridden by Jeff Penza & start from barrier 14 in race 1 – the Midway Handicap over 1000m at Randwick tomorrow.
Trained by Wendy Roche, the son of group 1 winning sire Haradasun is currently a rank outsider in the field, $81 fixed with the TAB.
Wendy Roches explains “the husband & wife owners are passionate Rabbitohs fans but unfortunately they have both faced some serious health issues.”
“I’d love nothing better than to see their horse win a race the day before the Bunnies play Penrith in the Grand Final. Star Of Haradas chances will improve dramatically if the track is wet.”
Seven year old gelding Star Harada has won 7 races from 34 career starts, 4 of those wins were on a heavy track.
Sydney was hit by a hail storm on Friday afternoon & rain is predicted for Saturday too.
Good luck to Jeff, Wendy, the owners & ‘South Sydney’ Star Of Harada, we’ll be watching.
