The South Sydney Rabbitohs pathways teams took on the Newcastle Knights today at Ironmark High Performance Centre, Redfern.
The Rabbitohs Harvey Norman Womens team went down 34-20 to the Knights. Seli Mailangi scored 2 tries for Souths while Monique Donovan and Moniqca Moale both scored 1 each. Akira Kelly kicked 3 goals.
Knights star player Jesse Southwell scored a try and kicked 5 goals and Caitlan Johnston scored a hat trick. Maybe she’s related to AJ!

Our Jersey Flegg boys got off to a great start, tries to Carson Kaho and Romano Cook saw them take a 10 nil lead into the sheds at half time.
The wheel well and truly fell off the wagon in the 2nd half when the Knights ran in 6 unanswered tries. Thomas Cant certainly can kick goals, slotting 6 from 6 to punish the Bunnies into a 36-10 loss.

Darren Brown and Grant Chappell were at the ground reporting for Rabbitohs TV. Browny performed the ground announcing for the womens game and both our boys were on the field to interview Rabbitoh #1179 Trent Peoples for the fans.

The Rabbitohs Knock On Effect NSW Cup team continued their winning ways making it 4 wins on the trot with a big 37-14 win over the Knights.
That victory moves the team up to 3rd on the ladder and will undoubtably give head coach Jason Demetriou something to ponder selection wise when he picks the 1st grade team to take on the Warriors next weekend in magic round.
Powerful winger Izaac Thompson is one man that has raised his hand to be considered for promotion after he scored 4 tries. Souths talented number 6 Jack Campagnolo chimed in with 2 tries and ‘Baby’ Davvy Moale backed up from 16 minutes on the field in the Broncos loss to score a meat pie of his own.
Dean Hawkins kicked 4 goals and Pete Mamouzelos showed his versatilty, knocking a field goal over in the 78th minute.

Next week all 3 teams have the bye then our womens team will have an extended break before they play the Bears at North Sydney Oval, Sunday 29th May at 12pm.
The Bunnies Jersey Flegg and NSW Cup teams both meet the Raiders at Redfern Saturday 21st May, Flegg at 12pm and Cup 2pm.
