Rabbitoh Pic Of The Day

We couldn’t go past this magnificent landmark in Bilga Crescent on Randwick Golf Course, Malabar today without stopping to take a picture.

The artwork has been signed S.O.M.B. and while we have no clue who that is we have to say we love your work.

Team List Tuesday – Rabbitohs v Warriors – Magic Round

Cameron Murray out, Cody captain. Jacob Host, Thomas Burgess and Kodi Nikorima in!

It’s magic round (round 10) with all 8 games set to be played at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane.

The Rabbitohs meet the Warriors at 3pm on Saturday, the 3rd game of the 8 and it’s just as well because rain is forecast for the whole week in Brisbane so the Suncorp surface for the last few games could end up looking like the old Waterloo Oval on a soggy Sunday arvo.

Watch on Rabbitohs TV.

The Rabbitohs were ordinary last week against the Broncos but the Warriors were even worse than that against an under manned Sharks team so the outcome of this clash will depend on which club can sort out their problems and find some form.

The Bunnies and Warriors have both won four games and lost five, Souths are however ahead on the table with +19 opposed to the Kiwi sides -81 thanks largely to having 70pts put on them by the Storm in round 7.

For Souths to win they will need to hold the ball, complete sets and cut down their appalling error rate. Throw in a good kicking game and a ferocious defensive effort and the Bunnies will be back in business.

Alex Johnston the star of our lethal left was out there catching a cold last week, the man on the verge of becoming the clubs greatest try scorer was starved of possession with a miserly 8 runs for 55 metres gained. This can’t happen again, ever.

Victory on Saturday depends on our forwards winning the battle in the middle and the spine performing to the high standards we’ve come to expect. If this happens our left and right sides will find the type of joy that our fans crave.

Daniel Lissing – Rabbitohs

On Rabbitohs TV today I had a chat to Australian actor Daniel Lissing.

Dan is a lifelong South Sydney Rabbitohs fan and has just released a song called ‘Rabbitohs’ for the club and Rabbitohs TV to share with Bunnies fans.

Highlights of our chat for me were when Dan spoke in an American accent and later when he played guitar and sang a few choruses of ‘Rabbitohs’.

The South Sydney Rabbitohs pathways teams took on the Newcastle Knights today at Ironmark High Performance Centre, Redfern.

Knights star player Jesse Southwell scored a try and kicked 5 goals and Caitlan Johnston scored a hat trick. Maybe she’s related to AJ!

Our Jersey Flegg boys got off to a great start, tries to Carson Kaho and Romano Cook saw them take a 10 nil lead into the sheds at half time.

The wheel well and truly fell off the wagon in the 2nd half when the Knights ran in 6 unanswered tries. Thomas Cant certainly can kick goals, slotting 6 from 6 to punish the Bunnies into a 36-10 loss.

A perfect day for footy at Redfern.

Darren Brown and Grant Chappell were at the ground reporting for Rabbitohs TV. Browny performed the ground announcing for the womens game and both our boys were on the field to interview Rabbitoh #1179 Trent Peoples for the fans.

Darren Brown, Trent Peoples & Grant Chappell at Redfern today.

The Rabbitohs Knock On Effect NSW Cup team continued their winning ways making it 4 wins on the trot with a big 37-14 win over the Knights.

That victory moves the team up to 3rd on the ladder and will undoubtably give head coach Jason Demetriou something to ponder selection wise when he picks the 1st grade team to take on the Warriors next weekend in magic round.

Powerful winger Izaac Thompson is one man that has raised his hand to be considered for promotion after he scored 4 tries. Souths talented number 6 Jack Campagnolo chimed in with 2 tries and ‘Baby’ Davvy Moale backed up from 16 minutes on the field in the Broncos loss to score a meat pie of his own.

Dean Hawkins kicked 4 goals and Pete Mamouzelos showed his versatilty, knocking a field goal over in the 78th minute.

Where did it go wrong last night? Broncos 32 Rabbitohs 12 Game Recap

On Rabbitohs TV today we took an in depth look at the Rabbitohs 32-12 loss to the Broncos last night at Accor Stadium, Sydney. In our recap we give an honest evaluation of the performance of both teams in the Thursday night footy clash.

Many thanks to my co-host Darren Brown for his efforts last night at the game. Browny was a guest of former Rabbitoh Jimmy Smith on his SEN League pre game show (listen below).

Once his radio spot was done Browny took a range of photos of the team warming up pre game. This was the first time he had used our new Sony zoom lens from the grandstand and the images he captured are excellent.
